My Unforgettable Stay in Hong Kong And Why You Should Stay Here Too

If you’re planning your trip, but don’t know where to stay in Hong Kong and want a hotel that delivers both views and convenience, I highly recommend Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong. I stayed in a Harbour View room on the 16th floor, and from the moment I walked in, I felt a deep sense of calm—exactly what I needed after a busy day exploring the city. One of the most memorable parts of my stay? The absolutely gorgeous sunset over Victoria Harbour right from my room. Keep reading to see it for yourself!

Room with a Stunning View

My Harbour View Room felt cozy, clean, and modern. It featured a big window overlooking the beautiful Victoria Harbour, a VERY comfortable bed, and thoughtful touches like a Nespresso machine, tasteful artwork, and a desk area. Waking up to morning ferry traffic and winding down with a harbor sunset easily became my favorite parts of each day.

The bathroom, though? Giiiiiirl, I was living for this view of the harbor FROM the shower. There’s nothing better than taking a hot shower while watching boats glide through the harbor…it just makes you feel grateful to be alive.

Hotel Amenities

If you like to stay active while traveling, the hotel has a 24-hour gym with stunning views and a sleek rooftop pool overlooking the harbor. Even if you’re not a swimmer, it’s worth going up to the pool deck for the view alone. Click here to see my sad (yet beautiful) attempt at swimming in this infinity pool.

The highlight of this stay in Hong Kong has to be the rooftop infinity pool. I didn’t pack a bathing suit (classic me), and after searching high and low in the immediately surrounding area with no luck, I decided to just go in with shorts and a tank top. I couldn’t pass up the chance to float above Hong Kong, surrounded by glass, sky, and that iconic view. Highly, highly recommend taking advantage of this!

Location

Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour is located in North Point, a lesser-known but charming area on the eastern side of Hong Kong Island. It’s connected directly to a mall and sits above the North Point ferry terminal, making it super easy to hop on a ferry or grab something to eat or drink. The North Point MTR station is just a few minutes’ walk away, so you’re still very connected to Central, Causeway Bay, etc. Which is what your girl needs because by day 3 of my trips, my feet are always begging me to give them a break. 😅

Dining Options at the Hotel

The hotel has a few great in-house dining options, especially if you want to relax without venturing out. One standout is Cruise Restaurant & Bar, which serves up modern Asian fusion dishes with one of the best rooftop views of the harbor. It’s perfect for sunset cocktails or a romantic dinner…yes, even for my fellow solo travelers out there! I missed sunset when I had dinner there, but it was still worth the night views over Victoria Harbour. There’s also The Farmhouse, a casual all-day dining spot with an international buffet and a bunch of à la carte options…really too many to choose just one!

Other Local Food Spots in North Point
